A working dairy farm in the city is not something one would expect to find nowadays. Situated in the heart of Gauteng, in the beautiful village of Irene, the Van der Byl family (now in their fifth generation) have generously welcomed locals and visitors from afar, on to their farm for many years – allowing young and old to enjoy the dairy farm experience without having to leave the city.
